Plippity plipitty plop

That's the sound of the rain.

It has been raining here for weeks now non-stop. At least that's what it feels like.  So I haven't been out much growing nor exploring.

I have been very busy with work, and with the baby terrorist, as well as planning a series of weekends away and social occasions that would kid anyone into believing that I can afford such events either in time or money! Beans on toast for rather a long time darling... at least until i manage to grow us some food!

I have become obsessed with comparing the growth of my spring bulbs with that of my neighbours in the neighbourhood. Worse, feeling jealous of some little spikes of green and purple bursting through pots next door because I don't know what they are!

Thank god the 6 Nations has started to distract me from the rain and the cleaning.  Hope you're enjoying it too, if you that way inclined in sports of course!

down, but not out

Am afraid am not in a terribly happy frame of mind due to feeling as though I am crippled by a trapped nerve in my neck. A creak, is that how you spell it?  Whatever you want to call it, it's a feckin pain and I have retired to bed early in the hope to get more sleep tonight.

The weather is total pants too, so am completely uninspired regarding anything remotely outdoorsy.  However I was thinking about planting some garlic and shallots this weekend, and moving a tree that I rather oddly planted right slap bang in the middle of my larger veg patch last year.  I put it down to one of my crazy episodes/post natal to think for a second that was a wise place to park a hazel tree. Anyhoo.... then I just read that is forcast to snow before the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

Down, and definately not going out then.  Weeds of Scotland you are safe from being eaten for another week.
